Prayer Requests: January 31

Good morning friends and family of the Micah Project!
This week we ask that you join us in praying for the following:

-Jarvin and Danilo are looking for jobs, which are hard to find in a city with a very high unemployment rate.  Pray for open doors for them and that they may trust in God's faithfulness.  May God give them the wisdom, direction, and confidence that they need to find the right job.

-Many of our Timothy House boys that are in college are in their first round of exams this week.  Pray that they may be able to focus, study, and recall all that they have learned.

-Marvin Soto, who is in St. Louis, is suffering from Bronchitis. Please pray that God may heal him soon and restore him to full health.  Also keep him in your prayers as he is studying and busy with school.

-We are considering taking in a new Micah boy, Emerson, a 13-year-old who has lived in Covenant House.  Please pray for direction in his life as well as ours and that God will reveal to us if Micah is the right fit for him.  We ask for wisdom and discernment in this process.

-We are very thankful to MDPC in Houston who provided us with enough money to build our water well for Micah 2.0! We will begin construction on that soon.  Our plans for the house are in the final steps as well.  Also, pray that our building permits will come through soon!

-We praise God that all of our staff has returned safely from holiday travels and we are excited to see what God is going to do in us and through us in this new year.

Thanks for your constant supply of love, encouragement, and prayers!
Grace and Peace.

Prayer Requests: January 3

Happy New Year from all of us at The Micah Project!!  It was a loud and crazy New Years Eve here, lots of fun was had by all.
Join us this week in praying for the following:

-The majority of our North American staff members are traveling this week, whether to the United States or to Honduras.  Pray for safe travels for all of them.  Pray that those traveling home to the states may have a relaxing and refreshing time with family and friends.  Pray that those coming in are rested and ready to jump right back into the swing of things here.  We pray for rest, strength, and guidance for all of them.

-This week one of our grads, Darwin Pavon is traveling to California to begin part of his new job.  He will be living on Long Beach for the next few months working with a produce company.   Pray that he will adjust well to life there, especially being away from family, friends, and his girlfriend.  May the Lord calm any nervousness that he has and may Darwin trust in His plans.

-One more month of vacation left for the boys!  We are thankful that the time off of school has gone well so far.  The boys had a great time last week working in VLM on the new land and they will return there this week to continue working on Roger`s new house.  We are thankful for Olvin Funez and his willingness to help us out last week with driving, as well as Oscar Amaya who helped us out as well.  It`s great to have the older generation of boys around!

-We give all the praise and glory to God for a great 2011!  It was a very stable year for all of the boys in the house, no one has returned to the streets since October 2010!  It´s awesome to see the work the Lord is doing in the hearts and lives of our boys.  We look forward to all that the Lord has in store for us in 2012!

Once again we are so grateful for your support, love, and prayers.  God`s blessings to you and your families in 2012!
Grace and Peace.
